Toybox plays upon 2 sorts of fear: that of the supernatural (jumpscares, images of ghosts...) and the very very real. The premise is that you're a woman trapped in the torture chamber, of a madman who tortures women to death. Like Monster Basement, it requires you to escape, and like The Intruder, the villain is very realistic. You will be both aided and haunted by his previous victims. Also, there's a really hard-to-find Easter Egg ending, allowing you to find camera. Use it to take a picture of a bloody room, and you get an epilogue where your captor is arrested. The message about misogyny makes Toybox extra special, and for me it was worth the blood.
Toybox is a classic point and click game with puzzles, just the creepy one. Not everyone likes puzzles, and that's why I rarely upload games like Toybox, but I've seen it on YouTube and thought it should be ok to have it in our collection.
Regarding the puzzles part, it'a all over the game. Most of the time you go around, picking up things from the floor and than scratching your head trying to figure out how and WHEN to use them.
One of the things you need at start is the PI number, first five figures. Some of us probably know that it is 3.14, but who remembers more than that. Quick google query (nothing to be ashamed of) and you end up with 314159.
Game is not scary, just a little bit creepy. There's a guy who sets himself on fire, and a ... this blond girl behind the safe door - doesn't look good, definitely.
