Midnight - Haunted by the sins

Midnight is an online game about clearing your sins after summoning Midnight Man. Childs play turned into something far more series. This is a procedure if you want to invite the Midnight Man: Write your full name on a piece of paper. Turn off all the lights. Knock on your main door for 22 times. Open the door, blow the candle and then relight the candle. The game resembles to a game called House.

Your goal is to collect 7 messages, 7 letters of sin to break the spell. Because it is so dark in the house, as all the lights are out, you are using matches to lit a small circle around you. With time the light weak until it completely fades out and unless you use another match, you will be left alone in a complete darkness. The Midnight man finds you and you die. This is an ending we don't want of course.

Navigation

To move from one room to another you need to walk through narrow corridors, up to a door and then press the space bar. Doors are sometimes really strangely positioned. There is a recess, a niche in the wall, where you need to literally step to and then push the space bar to walk through. Also, some doors are locked, so you'll need to find a keycard first to get them unlocked.

Dark is all around

It's really dark in all rooms. Actually, it's dark everywhere, all around you. All you see is just a small circle of light around you. This really raises the tension because you are completely unaware of what's in front of you and whether there's anything lurking from the darkness at the moment. That's really creepy. And all you hear are your own footsteps. It definitely reminds me of Slender series. Also, the map is huge. I literally got lost in the house.

The point is that you can't just sit there in dark, doing nothing. I guess the time runs out or Midnight Man finds you eventually. At some point, the whole screen will go black and you will hear a scream. At his point, the game is over for you and you will see a message 'your sins will never be cleared!'. Clearing out the sins, i.e. reverting things back to how it was before you called in The Midnight Man is your goal.

To play the game you must walk around the house and investigate all the rooms. As you do that, all kind of stuff will pop up which you must pick up and put in the inventory, things like a key card, matches, letter of sin, etc...
