Cube Escape Theatre - The scariest theatre you've been to
According to Rusty Lake, the scariest theatre you have ever been to is the theatre of your mind.
Do you remember Rusty Lake developer? They've made all those cool point and click escape games from Cube Escape series: The Mill, Birthday, Case 23, The Seasons (not sure about the order).. Anyway, all those games have couple of things in common: dark, weird, surreal atmosphere, they are all point and click puzzle-solving games and finally, they are all somehow connected to a special place called Rusty Lake.
Rusty Lake is a special place which holds our memories captured in a little cubes floating on the surface of this lake. Well, most of this concept doesn't make much sense if you try to rationalize it. Everything's mixed up heading towards even less logical ending which usually does not bring kind of resolution we hoped for, but it's still very good series and very interesting to play.
The story begins in 1972, in the theatre at the bar. You will see and hear some amazing things there but most importantly you will learn how to make a screwdriver cocktail. After you put the lights on, mr Owl will say few warm welcoming words in quite enthusiastic tone and the theatre show will start.
What I trully liked about the game is its weird and dark morbid tone. A stranger's hand playing on a 'dead face' piano, Black head pops out in the bathroom's mirror, baby coming out of the toilet on a plunger, lady of the lake shoots out a beam of light out of her mouth, guy cuts his own forehead on a broken glass at the bar to finally put a bullet to his own brain, a very same brain which holds a small but strong memory to a certain blond woman (known from the earlier episodes).
It ends with 'to be continued' so we should expect more episodes coming out soon. Yay.
Marni Paige : Took a while to complete the game but like other Rusty Lake games it was enjoyable.
FandomBandomGasoline : The game makes a tad more sense (and gets scarier too) when you translate the words written in Hindi on the photo frames. from left to right, they said (thanks to the help from my parents): Demigod, Human, Demon, (we assumed this one says animal), Hell, and Ghost. In the end, Mr Owl mentions something about your consciousness, and then says "...what you may become". Idk if I'm reaching but this makes sense lowkey
spoopybirbb : also Mr. Owl is a sparkly bisexual and we were all thinking it
