Mental Hospital - Eastern Bloc Creepy Inspection

There's no place which can mess up with your mind more than Mental Hospital.

There are no instructions but you're obviously inside a hospital or some other medical institution or as the title suggests it's a mental hospital. It's not clear whether you're here in a role of a patient or a guard, but you have a gun and you can also pick up some ammo from the floor.

As soon as you begin with the quest, you come to realize things are getting really weird around here. You begin to hear and see strange things, things that show up and the next minute they just disappear, and the lights go out randomly, what makes you think that either someone is playing games with your mind, or it's your mind in question. Headless baby doll just popping up in the metal wheelchair is just one of many creepy things you will stumble upon.

The rooms are obviously prepared for single patients in isolation. But most of the doors are opened and the patients are missing. There's even a surveillance room with TVs and cameras. All this gives you a creepy impression that someone or something is going to jump at you from the dark any moment.

The thing I hated about the game is a slow walking. You can't press control or shift key to get going any faster. It's like this guy (you) shuffles his feet slowly as hell. Luckily, the map is not really big. There's only one floor with like 10 rooms, and there's a staircase which leads to another smaller floor, with showers and a couple more rooms and that's it.

In the end of the game you get to the basement. There's a long dark corridor that you walk until you stop. Than the game reads that either you win or which is more probable you loose, as I did. So, all the horror you've been put through was for nothing, because you either didn't go through each and every room ( which I did) or you've spent all the ammo (as I did). So, in case you'd want to try to beat the game, see if you can go into every room and restrain from shooting because there's no real threat and you really don't need to spend ammunition anyway. I also think that you must find the key and go back to the first locked room and open it. There are other locked rooms in the way, but they seem to be irrelevant for the ending. Despite the fact that it actually might be possible to beat the game, the ending feels pretty much unexpectedly dull and it really let you down for high hopes you've been building during the play. On the other hand, despite dull ending, the game has great atmosphere and it's probably one of the most scariest games you can download for free.

Either the concept of mental hospital simulations became popular between horror game developers or this game has been remade for android platform as you can see from the walkthrough below. The resemble is obvious.
