Deeper Sleep

Deeper Sleep is the sequel of the award-winning horror game called Deep Sleep. It is a point and click pixel art adventure with horror elements, very similar to The Last Door.

About the Game

The game was inspired by the idea of lucid dream, which is according to the developer the moment when you wake up but are still captured in the sleep state and you can't distinguish between the reality and the dream. In this game that dream becomes a night mare because strange things and creatures start to appear. Our hero leaves to the city library to investigate if there are more people like him out there. The ultimate goal is to escape this dream.

The game was made in September of 2013 and is based on already well known game called Deep Sleep, which won first place at the 10th Casual Gameplay Design Competition or for short CGDC 10 (), and the whole event was sponsored by Armor Games. This game is basically Deep Sleep 2.

The gamer moves through the labyrinth of connected rooms filled with clickable objects he can interact with. Sponsor of the game is SoGood, while the author is a young polish indie developer under the pseudonym scriptwelder as he presents himself on Newgrounds. Gameplay

The gamers who have played the first sequel of the game are already familiar with the rules. For those who play for the first time we will give some directives. If you see glowing eyes in the dark somewhere and you find them to haunt you in the dark corridors - those are Shadow People and we will meet them again. In the house all exits are blocked, so it seems that somebody or something knows you are inside. Creepy sounds, darkness and dance of the shadows still dominate. The gamer will spend most of the time roaming around the house in the pitch dark with only a flashlight in hand - somewhat less scary version of Slenderman. Overall very interesting and Hitchcockian creepy game without the scenes of brutal violence. The last scene ends with an inscription "to be continued..." which may be a disappointing ending choice for some, while others might see it as a challenge waiting in the Deeper Sleep 2.
