Cube Escape - The Mill

This is 'The Mill', the latest point and click room escape game in 'Cube Escape' series made by RustyLake. You are helping mr.Crown to get his Mill running before new guest arrives - but not without a blood. "The corrupted souls are still wondering the lake. Mr. Owl thinks that he might have found the one that can stop them. But first, two cubes needs to be found!"

The storyline feels as if starting from the middle, pretty hard to pick up with what's going on. Maybe it's because this is my first game in the series and they are somehow interconnected. As usual for escape games, most of the things don't have much sense. Speaking of being senseless, my favorite part is when you pull out granny's golden teeth, one by one, and than melt them on the stove to make a key, which is pretty disgusting.

Speaking of disgusting, using a bird's shit as a fertilizer to grow some wheat and feed a cow with it to get some milk for a granny, is generally what you can expect throughout the whole game. Filled up with morbid puzzles the game has it's gross moments, but it was not meant to be scary, sorry. On the other hand, the cow get decapitated later in the game while the last scene with a parrot convinced me that eventually this was a good decision to give this game its place on dark horror games. It's well deserved.

In short, this is technically speaking, really good game, with some interesting camera views and unique navigation. Regarding the gameplay, it brings in pretty weird and eerie escape point and click adventure definitely worth checking out.
