Atrocitys - Part 1 - Pretty bad ending tbh

Atrocitys is a point and click horror game with realistic images and pretty bad ending.

The first time I was going through the game, took me about 5 minutes to finish it. And unless you read the bottom guidelines it is very likely you won't really know what you have just played and what the game was about. Just like in a part 2, here you can also use the 'tab' key to reveal the next clickable spot. Since you don't have much to do in the game anyway, I wouldn't call using this feature a cheating.

More less, this game is about investigation of some murder case from the past. You go around the old house and just by visiting certain rooms you literally revive the old memories which start to show up in flashes before your eyes. Sudden disturbing bloody scenes are perfect resources for cheap jumpscares.

After playing part 1 it becomes clear what the author was trying to fix in part 2. It's the gameplay, the lack of it, that is. But since the game is like 7 years old and belongs to an ancient horror flash gaming history, I wouldn't be too harsh on it.

As a matter of fact, the idea of using real life images and real life video scraps is actually excellent, just poorly executed. Having that in mind, the game is perhaps the forerunner of extinct games - 'hotel 626' and 'Asylum 626'.

The story: You have been offered a job to write an article about popular 'Atrocitys' murder case. That's why you go back to the house where it all began. After the series of odd events you get to a room with all kinds of tools, that were obviously used for tortures and murdering. There is a head in a bathtub, but the scene went off too soon to realize what was it about. In the end you get down the stairs to the basement but that's it. No resolution. The end. Quite bad ending, tbh.
