Amea - Post-apocalyptic Adventure
Amea - Post-apocalyptic Adventure
Amea is a kind of like mini RPG adventure game with post-apocalyptic horror storyline.
Amea is a girl who meets Garik after losing her memory of past events. Something bad had happened in the city of Lockmarne and a lot of people have died in horrible pain. Your task is to figure out what's going on. While Garik is out in the town to search for answers, an unknown monster walks into the Amea's room to attack her. Luckily, she finds a short sword on the floor to defend herself. Controls are usual: arrow keys to move, hold left/right arrow key to run, shift to pick up things, and space bar to check the main menu from where you can configure Amea's character, change her weapons or check the map or change the game's settings.
The most important thing about the menu is to configure A,S or D keys and set which one does what. Without doing so, in case you forgot to assign a sword to any key, you won't be able to defend Amea from the monsters. So make sure to assign weapon to a key. Later on you will find buckler. Assign it to a different key.
While Amea walks the empty city of Lockmarne we get a chance to enjoy creepy audio and visual effects. City walls are soacked in blood and you can clearly see a lot of people chained to the wall and their body parts ripped to pieces and scattered all over the place. A hell on earth. That doesn't stop her from getting even deeper into the darkness, as now she's even more hungry for the truth. After a while, you get to the map. From that point on you can open the main menu and check your current position on this island.
To find the answers Amea must enter the dark forest and look further. Who knows what horrors lie in there, and that is just the beginning of the adventure as this is not being a quite short flash game. On the contrary, to finish it, you will probably need an hour or maybe two. Anyway, it's the kind of game where in the end you meet the big boss and after beating him everything settles down and gets back to normal. I just wish there were more horror details, but generally it was OK. I just hope the game won't freeze for you because I've see it doing that in some random walkthrough video. Speaking of walkthroughs, I don't think you need one so I've omitted it here.
Game author is "Godlimations" indie developer from Australia, who doesn't work this anymore, I mean they don't make flash games anymore.
