Five Nights at Wario's isn't the worst FNAF clone on the market, and there really are some dire ones out there. However, it's far from being a must play, except by diehard fans of its inspiration. The addition of the Nintendo characters gives it some interest, but apart from this, Five Nights at Wario's is easily skipped.
Unfortunately, in the case of Five Nights at Wario's, what we have here is a pretty poor rip-off of the ground-breaking Five Nights at Freddy's which lacks any novel features that make it worth playing. The ripping off doesn't stop with FNAF though, as plenty of Nintendo's classic characters also get pulled into this mess, with everyone from Wario to the Princess showing up, although in slightly different fashion to how we're used to.

Success breeds imitation
If there’s one thing that’s certain in the gaming world, it’s that success breeds imitation. Sometimes, what follows can turn out to be a great thing, but in others all you end up with is a cynical cash-in on an innovative original that is not worth your time.
About gameplay
The basic gameplay on offer here is pretty much a straight copy of FNAF, with the player taking the role of a night guard who has the unenviable job of surviving five nights of duty in a building that just happens to be infested with evil Nintendo characters. As with FNAF, you don’t control the guard himself, but watch the action unfold through a series of security cameras. The various creepy characters are out to get you and move when they’re not being watched, so by flicking between the cameras, you can keep an eye on their progress and hopefully prevent them from getting to you and tearing you to pieces.
Grainy screen feeds from the cameras
The whole thing is viewed via grainy screen feeds from the cameras, and there is a certain amount of tense excitement to be had by flicking between them, desperately hoping that you won’t come across something nasty as you do. The use of Nintendo characters is interesting, as they are a lot more unpleasant than usual, but unfortunately, the scares just aren’t there. Instead, what we’re left with is a hollow copy that is notable only for its complete lack of innovation. This is slightly forgivable, given the amateur nature of the game but you can’t help but wish that the creator had turned their mind to something more original instead.

Low difficulty level
Things aren’t really made much better by the very low difficulty level and it really is very easy to get through to the end without dying more than a couple of times. This makes the game very short-lived and there isn’t a great deal of incentive to play it again once you have completed it, as you have probably seen everything it has to offer on one playthrough.
